Description from Obumex:
“On 12 March 2016 we open the doors to a new Obumex universe that bears our typical signature. As usual, balanced and unique interior designs again are the key players in this new meeting point, of which the interior design reflects the diversity of our custom work.
In our new premises, we present you for the first time, a survey of meticulously selected materials and furniture pieces from the Obumex collections.
We look forward to welcoming you in our 250 m2- large ‘hidden treasure’ in the heart of the upper city that stretches over two floors and in which elegant designs in rich materials play the main role. These stubborn creations are designed by passionate designers and exclusively available with Obumex.
Our Brussels Obumex Flagship Store offers a variety of inspiration sources via several ‘modules’. On the ground floor, the Objects of Collection Particulière and an office with the Interstuhl office chairs are the first eye-catchers and therefore also the atmosphere setters for the contemporary and urban image in which also the rest of the downstairs spaces are bathed. In the hall, the Emperador Black natural stone staircase and the Cloud chandelier of Apparatus immediately draw the attention. The third space is an elegant resting point with a sofa, a library shelf and saloon tables of Moinard against a wall in Mortex. In the open family kitchen rules a domestic retro-feeling that is strengthened by the linen structure of the cupboard doors, the storeroom closet and the dark glow of the Emperador natural stone. The kitchen tap is an Obumex design, the dining table is designed by Christophe Delcourt and the chairs by Bruno Moinard. The last module completes the picture with barn wood shelves, a free-standing luminaire of Serge Mouille and furniture of Christophe Delcourt.
On the second floor, a complete loft awaits you under the wooden trusses, reflecting a chic/casual coastal ambiance. The meeting room has been decorated with a Knoll table and Vitra chairs. In a second room, tranquil colours and original materials, such as messing, tin, bronze and marble, create the scene for the iconic furniture of among other brands Meridiani, the free-standing luminaire of Serge Mouille and the artworks of Verne. The kitchen with messing accents, a worktop in honed Calacatta Cream marble and closets in Chêne blanchi clearly is the beating heart of the premises.
In the Obumex Flagship Store Brussels the commotion of the stressful inner city is put ‘on hold’ for a while."
