Miami Beach Edition is the new venture developed by hotelier and real estate developer
Ian Schrager, with the Marriott International hotel group and architect
John Pawson, commisioned for the private units.
The 26 limited edition residences will have outdoor elevated gardens, private swimming pools and views over Miami Bay and the ocean. Some are being built on top of Miami Beach’s renovated 1950s landmarked Seville Beach Hotel, with the rest in a newly constructed 18-storey building next to it.

Each apartment is designed individually and will be sold furnished and equipped, featuring all the light, space and modern simplicity in details and finishes. The residences will have a separate entrance from the hotel, together with many luxurious extras and privileges, from access to a skating rink, a nightclub and a bowling alley in the hotel below, as well as a concierge services, hotel-style switchboard and pet walking options, even a ‘celebrity entrance’ for ultimate privacy.
Developers are aiming for completion at early 2014. However, according to sources from miami.curbed.com, only a few days after the launch of the sales website (and average area prices around $3,000 per sq. foot), there is only a one triplex penthouse left.
