Idokoro House, Japan | mA-Style Architects

Idokoro House in Shizouka, Japan, designed by mA-Style Architects, consists of two volumes connected by a wooden patio.

The abstract, minimal white exterior conceals and protects from the street a fluid interior layout with different levels accessed via ladders.

Interiors are defined by the combinations of different wooden textures creating a warm atmosphere while referring to traditional Japanese architecture.

When the sliding glass doors of the patio are opened, the entire footprint of the house becomes one room.
